({Phoxinus laevis}, formerly {Leuciscus phoxinus});
sometimes applied also to the young of larger kinds; --
called also {minim} and {minny}. The name is also applied
to several allied American species, of the genera
{Phoxinus}, {Notropis}, or {Minnilus}, and {Rhinichthys}.
