Talk me out of the Seymour Duncan PowerStage 700 - TalkBass. com It looks really nice, but it's a different concept-- for some reason they decided to make a full-featured bass head instead of a "pedal platform" like the powerstage 700 (which is basically a power amp with a simple 3-band EQ) I found this a bit perplexing, as more bassists have been using separate preamps and power amps for quite a bit longer than guitarists, generally speaking

Lets Talk About The Best Strings For 5 String Basses Shall We! I have been a Die Hard DR Hi-Beams player for many years and love these strings, but am interested in trying new options and wonder what you all recommend? In particular, I am having trouble getting the B string on the DR Hi-Beams thru the hole in the bridge on my new Fender 5 string and am
Double Bass - Lets talk about the Nino Mute | TalkBass. com I'm late to the party as usual, but I picked up a Nino-Mute a couple of months ago For having to play in loud amplified environments where the thump is important, I figured why not give a try So far I played one gig with it, and it worked great with one exception - the G string It was hard
